Here’s some colour from the Glasgow festival that takes place every summer.
I’ve been along to the Merchant City Festival a couple of times now. Each year there are 10 great days of fun and entertainment. And for the centre of a city it encourages a great sense of relaxation and camaraderie. The street entertainment is always strange and arty … arresting. And there are so many places to enjoy food or sit and have a blether. The music from the stages really helps with atmosphere. And there are so many stalls to browse through they could fill your day on their own.
Many of these images here are of the folk in the Festival parade on the 31st July – which this year was based on a Rio theme.
