Close-up and Macro

In response to Forestwood’s Friendly Friday Challenge for this week, which is looking for some close-up and macro images.

I picked some out of my collection of macro images, mostly a variety of insects, hopefully putting some emphasis on colour. The one at the top is of rowanberries which are just coming into colour here at the moment. Hope you like them!

Marmalade Fly on Dahlia
Painted Lady Butterfly

But then …… here’s a pig!

  1. I love the contrast Jazzibee. What a wonderful collection of photographs. The contrast with pig is the surprise and my absolute favourite is the Dahlia! Glorious colour and the fly adds the element of focus for the eye.

      1. That is good to hear, Jazzi. I often wonder how many participants check the other entries in the challenges. I do hope so as we can learn so much from each one. It is also quite fun to see the various different interpretations for the prompts. Everyone has something different to share.

        1. I agree. Seeing what other people make of the subject seems to be the point of the whole idea. I do seem to have seen an increase in views of my posts on days following when the challenges take place.
