During our first lockdown back in the spring, the sun shone for weeks on end. Beautiful weather! It really took the edge off those difficult times. We could always get out for a quiet walk or tend to our small garden. In this our second lockdown — well, it’s November in Scotland — we’ve just had the wettest October for decades – and the clouds are still gathering.
Still we try to make the most of each day; at this point in time, today is the only day we have. We keep busy, keep in touch with friends and family, and try to do something creative. If we can do that, we’ll be fine (and I know it’s not at all easy for others in a worse position than ourselves)
So focussing on today is fine but it doesn’t stop us looking forward with hope.
Ok! So, if things aren’t going quite as well as you’d hoped…..

If you feel the burden you carry is pulling you down…..

If everything you do seems like an uphill struggle…..

Or if you feel things seem to threaten to completely overwhelm you…..

REMEMBER

The sun’ll come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There’ll be sun!
Though in Scotland in November, it might take a day or two longer…. But then I’m sure the sun’ll stay out all day.

Thanks to Ana of Ana of Anvica’s Gallery for hosting the Lens-Artists Challenge – The sun will come out tomorrow, and for inviting us to think this one out.
p.s. the woman in the mud run survived all right and completed the course successfully with a smile on her face. She had to go through this trench of dirty water and being of small stature, she had a harder task than all other competitors. But she triumphed. I think her name was Annie (??)

What a lovely post! The photos and the story they told perfect tied the theme. Loved it.

Nicely done. Were the two men rugby players? I remember men looking like that after my husband’s games years ago. 🙂 If there’d been blood, I’d have been sure it was rugby. 🙂

Not rugby! Believe it or not, it’s taken at a traditional greasy pole competition – that isn’t mud but horribly sticky grease.

Well done!!! I think you got the message very well.
And remember that the sun is always there, even if a layer of clouds prevents us from seeing it, it always comes out every day. In Scotland as well. 🙂

Oh so well done James! You are so right, today IS the only day we have. Loved the way your images spoke to your messages. Really well done. As for the mud runner, I do not think there is anything in this entire universe that would motivate me to do that!

Nor me, Tina. I guess a lot of cash is raised charities through these mud run events, but I’m sure I find a different way. Thanks for nice comment.
