Prompted by this week’s Monochrome Madness challenge titled ‘Ruins’, I’m posting to fairly recent images. The lead image above is of the famous Dunure Castle once the seat of the Kennedy family who ruled a large part of South-west Scotland.
And the image below is of the part demolished Loudoun Kirk with some of the memorial stones in the foreground. This portion left is maintained by a local charity. It has been determined that it was first built in 1451 AD. Later, it was the burial site for some of the Earls of Loudoun.

Ruins do seem to look their best in monochrome.

Great images of ruins James, but I really like the first especially.
