Amanda challenges us to come up with our version on photos of Red and Green for this week’s Friendly Friday Challenge.

I look through my files and trust me to find something different – I know it’s not a seasonal choice but I hope a red fire engine on a green lawn will count ok.

And at the time I noted down the story of the said vehicle and I retell this below for your interest/amusement. (However, if you can’t be bothered, I won’t be offended).

Making my Day Unique

Nature Spot – linked to Friendly Friday

So, just yesterday, my good friend Donald (not that one, another one) said “Why don’t we go to the pond at the park and take some bird photos?…… socially distanced, of course”. It may not sound a truly attractive suggestion but in the middle of lock-down when we’re not supposed to go out of our local area, it seemed a good idea just to get out the house.

One Way or Another

Thanks to Amanda for setting the Friendly Friday Photo Challenge this week a challenge called ‘Two Ways‘. Amanda’s looking for two presentations of the same thing – two different ways. Perhaps photographs taken of the same place at different times, or a single photograph processed in two different ways.

It’s true that when you take photographs you have choices of when to take, how to take it, how to process it and how to present it. Here are a selection of my images that, I hope, fit the brief.

A Quiet Place

It’s a place we often go to chill out and look at the sea. It’s over at the rocks behind Troon harbour – that’s Troon, best known for its championship golf course. We pass the harbour and stop in the small car park, looking out over the waves towards the Isle of Arran.
