Lighthouses at Port Glasgow

Found ourselves sitting in Burger King with rain hammering on the roof and streaming down the windows. Thankful for the refuge and some warm coffee.

Once the brutal downpour had expended its energy, we found the waterfront here at Port Glasgow quite deserted. After the storm this was indeed a peaceful place.

A still evening and the sun is thinking of going down. Just a slight pink tinge to the far sky. It’s an ancient castle or rather the remains of a 16th century tower house built on the cliff at Greenan, near Ayr – and a scene of inter-clan fighting around 1600 AD.

Based in Ayrshire in south west Scotland, I’ve been into photography on and off for a long time. But now I’m taking it a bit more seriously. So I started this blog to post some of my images – still not really sure how it may end up. I may delve into some other observations on the world around me…. if I do, please indulge me.
