So, here I am responding to Ann-Christine’s Lens-Artists Challenge – Striped and Checked.
I’m not doing well at getting new images at the moment so once again I’m falling back on my archives and even there finding very few ‘checks‘ – other than tartan. What else can I do but start with a couple of kilts? The hammer thrower above was taken at the Helensburgh Highland Games.
And here’s a local pipe band! It seem mostly that wearing the kilt requires you to put great enthusiasm into anything you do –

I did find a couple of images with a checked windows that quite reasonably fit the bill.
As for stripes, a bigger variety revealed itself, like the reflections on the River Clyde of lights around the Finnieston crane and the ‘Squinty ‘ Bridge

And I like the planks on the side of this old boat which I’ll count as stripes

And where else would you find better stripes than those on a tiger?

This guy is not waking up for anything………….though……..
a

He might just wake up for a wee friend.
Thanks to Ann-Christine for setting the challenge. Worth a visit

Awesome images, Jazz! The first one is remarkable, you captured the movements and his determination. Windows and reflections are excellent. The tiger, wow!!

Lovely photos all of them. But that last one of the tiger with the butterfly is a really terrific one.

I like the hammer throw and the tiger shots are really fun. But the boar is probably my favorite from a photographic point of view.

Thanks Janet! Glad you appreciate the boat. I was amazed at the colours – I think it shows how often the boat had been repainted

Well – your archives certainly measured up to this! Of course they all fit the bill – and who makes new images nowadays? Not many of us for sure. Instead we might find new ways of looking at old images – and that is a good thing. Just loved the reflections and the tiger stripes. The boat is a colourful hit – and who doesn’t love the athletic tartan guys! Thank you for joining in!

Thanks Ann-Christine! I’m glad you liked the images. As for new images – I’ll have to pick out some new photo projects within the restrictions we have.

I should do that as well. Good idea with projects.

I was very tempted to feature the tartan plaids of a Highland Games event we attended in Scotland James so kudos for yours! They really are SO proud when in uniform or in the games. So loved your tiger images, such beautiful creatures. Were you in a zoo or nature park, or was she/he in the wild?

Thanks Tina! The tiger was in a wildlife park that you drive through in the car. But these were taken from an elevated platform to allow you a clear view.
