Hi! After a spell when photography has not come easy, I’ve now taken some images suited to Patti’s challenge Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #141: Geometry.
Geometry in architecture like those in Patti’s provides some superb shapes. That type of geometry doesn’t just look good but it performs a function, making the building firstly not fall down but also work as a useful building space.
My old guitar similarly, as for all musical instruments, doesn’t just have an interesting shape but that shape is designed over the centuries to provide a means of producing beautiful sound. I wish I was a bit better at meeting the challenge.

What a creative post, James, love how you used images of your guitar as examples of geometric shapes!

Ha. Great perspectives. Gibson?

Unfortunately not a Gibson! It’s a Fender acoustic. Sounds like a contradiction in terms but it’s really not a bad guitar and is very well made (in Korea)

Ah. I once had a Sigma, made by C.F. Martin in Korea.

I love your choice this week, Jas. Perfect! I love how photography makes us notice things that we normally take for granted.

What a great idea for the challenge James! One of the quotes in my post this week compares geometry with music. I think your choice meets the challenge perfectly
