Trees in the Sun 3 – Resurgence

This is the third and final image of those white-barked trees that I came across. All images taken on the same day, in the same place with the same vertical camera movement during the exposure. This image was taken with a shutter speed of 1/5 second.

Startling Symmetry

The search for symmetry, and the emotional pleasure we derive when we find it, must help us make sense of the the seasons and the reliability of friendships.

In taking photographs, I more commonly seek to change out of a symmetrical view. I try mostly to get an angle on the subject and to achieve some flow through or around the image.

Two Views of a Ruin

A still evening and the sun is thinking of going down. Just a slight pink tinge to the far sky. It’s an ancient castle or rather the remains of a 16th century tower house built on the cliff at Greenan, near Ayr – and a scene of inter-clan fighting around 1600 AD.
